scorchedangel said: I read The Orphan Master's Son based on your tweet about it and just wanted to say thank you! It was easily the best book I read this year, possibly ever! Got any more recommendation? :P

fishingboatproceeds:

yeah!

If you liked The Orphan Master’s Son, some other books I recommend:

An Untamed State by Roxane Gay

How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia by Mohsin Hamid

Ghana Must Go by Taiye Selasi

Each of these novels (like Orphan Master’s Son) takes us to a place most of us don’t know well and makes it rich and vibrant and complicated and human.

Sunday In The Park With George, Théâtre du Châtelet with Julian Ovenden and Sophie-Louise Dann

Just finished watching this. Not the best acting performances I’ve seen for this show, but it was well sung for the most part. I’m not sure how I felt about Dann’s Dot. I thought her speaking/singing voice was a little grating after a while, and some of her acting choices were questionable. I also thought the set design, while interesting, was a tad over-designed and often too busy. It’s definitely worth a watch though, if only to hear the lush orchestration and Julian Ovenden’s stellar vocals.

A Work In Progress.

In light of me writing an essay on Sherlock and TJLC I wanted to do my own compilation. I will update this as I come across material that was previously unknown to me and if you have anything that’s missing, please let me know!

"Let’s play subtext.” - LSiT

Oh wow, it’s awesome of you to compile this! I’m flattered by the mentions and the company… Definitely should be helpful, especially for new TJLCers. Also bookmarking it for myself because there’s a ton of metas I’ve missed due to my neglecting my dash, lol

EDIT: wtf I had e-hearts in the text and reblogging with those on mobile made it like, clip the rest of the words?

CHARLENEKAYE #TBT to the last show of Apocalyptour in 2012, opening for StarKid at the late Roseland Ballroom. One of the most amazing moments ever. (x)

shhhh, Martin, don’t hurt yourself, let Moffat do the lying for you

This is the most ironclad TJLC evidence I have ever seen. Stone cold hilarious.

Martin’s much more comfortable lying than Benedict is but this gifset doesn’t even do the video justice, lmao. Sometimes I go rewatch it just because it’s amazing.
